WHY TO SCAPE FROM DAILY ROUTINE

Since we live trapped in routine actions (working, studying, cooking, cleaning, sleeping, … and so on every day), when our 2 days of rest arrive we are usually trapped in a supreme tiredness that forces us to stay at home and rest but, …

Did you know that if we give ourselves a weekly getaway, our life can improve exponentially?

Here are 3 benefits of taking this kind of trip.

  1. IT INCREASES OUR MENTAL AGILITY. The simple fact of being in a place that we do not know, make us ask where is the museum, the nearest bar or even a good place to rest. On the other hand, also the fact of going to a new place, implies that we may not know how to dialogue in the language in which the locals do and, therefore, will make us think, activate certain mechanisms of our brain to make us understand and increase our empathy levels and our ability to address problems in our daily lives.
  2. IT INCREASES WELL-BEING. The simple fact of breaking with our routine, even for a single day, makes us see life differently. It makes us enjoy new environments, cultures and experiences and, at the same time, it opens our mind since everything unknown and new stimulates our brain.
  3. IT RULES OUT DISEASE. The escapes and the fact of clearing the mind of the monotonous and repetitive daily routine, causes that we activate diverse connections so much of our brain, as of our body. In addition, if we add that during these escapes we can add a well-being session or some sport activity or if we just walk along the unknown streets of a city, this will help us to our muscles, bones and heart.

I hope that you are encouraged to escape even if it is only for a few hours a week in case you cannot do it for two or three days. In my case, I did a 2-hour break during my exams period and that helped me a lot to relieve tension, refresh my mind and heal my heart.
